Spirits, Ancestors, Self: African Diasporic Healing & Wisdom Sharing

Spirits, Ancestors, Self: African Diasporic Healing & Wisdom Sharing is a calm, soothing environment, where attendees will learn and apply tools to explore the connection between mind, body, and spirit on Weeksville’s sacred lands.

Through outdoor yoga, beadmaking, and guided sessions, participants are encouraged to deepen their understanding of self, ancestors, healing and the depth of spiritual belief systems within the African diaspora.

This program is part of Weeksville Weekends. Sign ups for free tours of Weeksville’s Historic Hunterfly Road Houses will be available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: As an organization founded with Black liberation in mind, we aim to support all Black people, including disabled, immunocompromised, and otherwise vulnerable community members––including our staff, artists, local residents, and visitors––always, and especially through the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

As such, we require face coverings that cover nose, mouth, and chin indoors at all public programs. We highly encourage the use of high-quality masks such as KN95s and KF94s at all times, and ask that all who come on-site remain mindful of maintaining a safe physical distance.
